The VBFAA Officers and Board of Directors meet quarterly to discuss matters pertinent to the electronic security and life safety industry throughout the state and make decisions on behalf of the association's members. The VBFAA Executive Director conducts the day-to-day business of the association.
Alarm companies of many different sizes and specialties are members of VBFAA. Dealers, manufacturers, distributors, public safety officials, and central stations are among those represented in the association membership. Approximately 80 percent of VBFAA members are small alarm companies with fewer than 8 employees. For a list of our members visit our directory page.
VBFAA is divided into five regions:
Each region, guided by regional officers, meets monthly to discuss matters of importance in their particular region. Both members and nonmembers are welcome to attend monthly regional meetings in their area.
VBFAA provides training by highly qualified instructors in different facets of the alarm industry. VBFAA can provide in-service classes in sales and tech, approved by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services.
VBFAA holds an annual Convention and Trade Show to provide a forum for networking, training, and displaying the latest in electronic security technology. Manufacturers and distributors from across the country participate in this annual event. Members, nonmembers, employees, and families are invited to attend VBFAA's annual Convention and Trade Show.
